To get a good understanding of the situation, it’s important to know that Ronaldo has two main agents: Jorge Mendes and Simon de Quieroz. The former runs Ronaldo’s affairs for him, while the latter is a consultant for Mendes; they represent a large number of top players in the world, and are instrumental in the transfer market. The Ronaldo-Juventus situation has been a tense one: after four years at the Juventus, Ronaldo returned to United and signed a new £300,000-a-week, four-year deal in the summer of 2018.

It’s been five years since Cristiano Ronaldo left Old Trafford for the Bernabeu in a world record £80m move after nine seasons with the Red Devils. After everything he’d achieved, it was hard to believe that Ronaldo would leave but that’s exactly what happened. The Madrid outfit also offered him bonuses of £30m each year, which he couldn’t turn down.

The Backdraft film was released on September 18th, 1991. Directed by Ron Howard, the story of a firehouse of firefighters who are caught in the middle of a deadly arson plot written by David Koepp, the film stars Kurt Russell, William Baldwin, William Forsythe, Anne Heche, and Richard Roundtree.

In celebration of its 30th anniversary, Backdraft is being re-released on the big screen. Fathom Events will present a unique Backdraft 30th Anniversary event for two nights only, bringing the iconic firefighting thriller back to cinemas. The Explosive Stunts, a documentary on the making of the film, will be shown during the screening. Tickets for screenings on September 5 and 8 are currently on sale in certain locations.

The following is a description of the event: “In this thrilling action-thriller, Ron Howard directs an all-star ensemble to show you the mystery, drama, and destruction of fire as you’ve never seen it before! As two warring brothers who continue on a noble family heritage as Chicago firemen, Kurt Russell and William Baldwin feature. When a strange sequence of arson attacks is discovered, they are compelled to put their differences aside in order to uncover the mystery behind these heinous acts. Scott Glenn, Jennifer Jason Leigh, Rebecca DeMornay, Donald Sutherland, and Robert DeNiro all appear in this critically praised thriller picture that has some of the most breathtaking fire scenes ever captured on film.”

Backdraft is directed by Ron Howard and is based on a screenplay by Gregory Widen. The film was a huge success at the box office, grossing more than $152 million against a $40 million budget when it was released in 1991. It also won three Academy Awards for Best Sound Effects Editing, Best Visual Effects, and Best Sound. Universal Studios Hollywood featured a fire special effects display based on the film from 1992 until 2010. At Universal Studios Japan, the attraction is still open.

“The fire was all done in-camera,” Howard previously told THR about the film’s special effects. “We had gas burners and fire retardants on hand, as well as a crew of ten Chicago firemen on standby with extinguishers, and they had to move in at times. We never knew when the fire would get away from us, no matter how carefully we prepared. On occasion, it did.”

He said, ” “De Niro spoke with a number of different fire investigators. When the cameras started rolling, I saw he took on the stance of one person, the attitude of another, and the rhythm and command of the language of a third. And then it occurred to me that this is exactly what he does. It was a master lesson in planning and executing.”

Because Backdraft’s reputation has lasted so long, a sequel was published not long ago in 2015. Gonzalo López-Gallego directed Backdraft 2, which was written by Gregory Widen and directed by him. Brian McCaffrey and Ronald Bartel are played by William Baldwin and Donald Sutherland, respectively, with Joe Anderson also appearing. With so many important elements from the original lacking, it was regrettably not as successful as its predecessor.

In any case, the original will be shown in its entirety on the big screen on September 5 and 8. Backdraft is still available on HBO Max for those who want to relive the classic thriller in the privacy and comfort of their own homes on the tiny screen. On Fathom Events’ official website, you can find out where the Backdraft 30th Anniversary event will be shown and buy tickets.

Backdraft 2 is a topic that has been discussed.
